New form of cheating by Airtel: Users beware

15 days ago I received a call from Airtel Website builder team asking me to activate my free website and even guided me. The shock came through my bill, I was charged 250 bucks! I protested and fought and was given a waiver and they also cancelled the service upon my request! If I hadnt noticed it, I would've ended up paying 250 bucks month after month.The funny part is my PC secure and GOD were also cancelled along with this! I had to reactivate them again. If I will be charged, I will simply show my past bills where Airtel PC secure and GOD were free!Imagine some innocent people who just pay the bill without noticing this!FYI am on 1699 plan.Users stay on guard whenever you see the bill!

heh. yeah. typical airtel these days. i never used to check my bill details. i still do not because my bill amount is pretty much the same every month (i do not use the landline so there are no extra charges). i would definitely go through the details if i find the amount deviating from the constant figure that i pay monthly.

Cheap tactics by airtel.

Website builder, GOD and PC Secure - 3 bullshit and crappy services (?). Yes, I've tried all of them. That PC Secure thing is junk - it'll make your PC crawl.

I guess users around the country are already aware of their tactics, and now its Africa's turn to do JHINGA-LALA with airtel. :haha:

I also received around 15-20 calls to activate Gaming on Demand, PC Secure and website builder in April. They call multiple times a day and for each line that you have in your office.LOSERS.
