3. Steps taken :
4. Changes if any in Computer.
5. Recurrence :
1. Different
router page displayed after every reboot. IP address conflict dialog box also shown in bottom right hand corner leading me to suspect me that I was somehow logging in into someone else's router from my building having MTNL.
2. No idea!
3. Tried changing IP, rebooting to factory settings, everything. Frequency of different pages being displayed has been reduced, but they still show up.
4. No major changes. Antivirus/Antispyware s/w up to date. No firewall installed. ONE MAJOR NEW THING THAT HAS STARTED IS THAT 192.168.1.1 doesn't work sometimes and I have to try 192.168.1.2 which weirdly works... although I am on ethernet.
5. Problem is recurring. Infact now I am getting Wrong username and password at the dialing... checked everything seems to be fine. problem started since 16/01/08. However the MTNL login page is down I suspect this may be the culprit. PPP link shows as disconnected in status page of router.
:wall:
I dont think this will go off whatever one may do.
I believe this is because of
noise and disturbance in the lines
Only solution is to detach the phone line from the router change your router ip, then use new ip for web administration.
SNR and Attenuation are okay, checked stats in different modes!

Tried resetting the router? To default settings. I think your last option would be to ask for a new router from MTNL.
Yes rebooted to factory defaults... Same problem.
I highly doubt that would happen soon, I hda to wait 3 months formy connection to get installed.
This might also happen if the modem(mtnl) and the wireless router have the same Ip..
Make sure to plug in wireless router only and change it's ip from 192.168.1.1 (usually) to 192.168.0.1.. This is just in case both IP's clash..
once done, you can connect the modem to your wireless router and all should be fine..
