Hi Guys... In one of the threads, user "Kooldude" posted an very informative article.
Wanted to post it as a new thread so everyone understands the ground reality.
In Short, this is what the article says --> Unless ISRO launches a scheduled GSAT-10 communications satellite on first quarter of 2012, Tata Sky has no hope to add new channels. Once that launch is successful, they can have channels space upto 400.
Until then the only way they can manage is by dropping existing channels for most preferred newly launched channels.
So wait till April 2012 for tata sky to be able to launch many channels that you dream of.
I would not be surprised if they they don't add any more HD channels. Even if they do add, it will be only at the cost of dropping an existing channel.

Question:
I also have a question if any of the experts here can answer. As the article says, tata sky is a 3way JV between Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, the Tata group and Singapore government-owned private equity giant Temasek. Rupert Murdoch's news corporation is in chaos as many of you already know. Will it impact Tata Sky when it's actually struggling to solve existing issues...
