No Moderators in IBF ?

well. about the first part... forums are not smart enough to auto merge similar threads. and whenever i notice them, i do merge them up. if you find any threads that should be merged, a simple mail to me would be enough.

and about skins. i am assuming that the setting is stored in the cookie which is removed when you logoff. i have checked the settings, i have not disabled anything that would cause this problem. i have not seen happening on other forums though, so probably something is not right.

Themes: Hopefully, yes the cookies are cleared if we log out. The best thing is dat I dont log out at all

i have a bad habit of not closing down threads. i do have to accept something. this is the first and only forum i run and have run. so i have no idea how other forum owners run their forums. i am not doing a good job but it seems to have worked out fine for most users who have stayed here for years now

I can say that u r only one to manage such a huge forum solely. Other forums have almost 4-5 Moderators .

so kudos to u, hope that some glitches which u think like closing threads are also solved

well this forum is not huge... i had say its bigger than your average forum. but its not huge by any measure.

Still I suppose IBF gets more traffic than other forums (Indian) .Its huge enough in terms of knowledge sharing and updates abt BB is concerned

IBF's leadership is undebatable. Google Search results often shows IBF posts on first page(and often in top 4). I have set many Google Alerts on my google account. I get almost real-time alerts from IBF.As far as closing thread is concerned, I dont understand the logic. I have seen very old threads emerging suddenly as per its relevancy and need.

indexing of the forum is pretty good. not real time as some of my other blogs. but it is still pretty fast. pagerank? not good. rankings compared to copycat forums? not good. but in general, it has worked well for me. that is one of the major reasons i am still not sure about the planned migration to xenforo. vb4 has been a major disappointment. they are trying to make amends with the release of 4.1 in the near future. but xenforo looks pretty awesome and i want to use it here. too bad i do not have another forum to implement it
