No more Toll free to Airtel Chennai Customer care

Airtel Chennai has warned that they are going to charge for calling their customer care from May 21st. Worst move. I think Airtel is the only mobile operator to charge even for calling their customer care. Most of the time we will call them when they do some thing wrong for us. Charging for that is very bad.

Vodafone Mumbai started charging too. When I called them abt a week back their IVR said I will be charged 50p/min (or 3mins?) for talking to customer care person.

Vodafone lead from the front in coming up with this innovative idea.

For complaints though, you can dial a different number. Those calls will not be charged.
