Guys recently i took BSNL FTTH connection (only option) and i am not able to open cod mobile and tmdb servers.

Cod mobile just keeps connecting and nothing happens. But when i use other dns i am able to connect but there is sudden spike in ping.

I have seen several threads related to pubg did anyone find solution?

BSNL FTTH here, codm is fine - 30-60ms. Don't know what is tmdb 🤔
Using BSNL's own DNS as well.

Have you tried connecting with 1.1.1.1 app from play store? To see if it's really BSNL's side.

@Adithya yeah through 1.1.1.1 it works fine but ping fluctuation makes it useless. WHat is BSNL's own dns can u tell me and how to configure it?

TMDB is movie database used by 3rd party streaming sites as an alternative to imdb catalog.

Default dns servers are 61.1.1.1 and 218.248.112.116. You should be getting that automatically though. Latency spikes can't be DNS fault, what is your MTU?

Try this to see if it's the best value for you https://kb.netgear.com/19863/Ping-Test-to-determine-Optimal-MTU-Size-on-Router

If that didn't fix it, try these
1. Don't enable 802.11b/g/n on wifi mode - use 802.11g/n or just 802.11n.
2. Change wifi channels, find one that isn't crowded. (1,6,11 for 2.4ghz)
3. Restart the modem, you'll connect to a different gateway. I've had horrible latency on some IPs.

Most routers I've seen do DNS on the router itself, so that's normal. Android won't get DNS servers unless it's given in the router's dhcp page. Are you using a seperate router btw? What modem?
In my Netlink I can change the DNS in Network>LAN IP Address.
