Yes, that is end of Symbian project. BUt I guess Nokia would continue with S40 based Asha series (which are NOT Smartphones).

Of course. They need dumb phones which still sell in large numbers. Sony HTC LG are pretty much out of that market.

Well India is not the only market for Nokia

Brazil, Africa, South East Asia... India is not the only market where Nokia does well in the budget segment market

In fact, the event where Nokia announced their Asha series... India was not even mentioned. It was all about South America and Africa.
