Probably no. It wil support switching between third party apps to messaging and music without closing them as is case with many mid range Nokias. Switching between two or more third party apps wont be possible.

I am not 100% sure about it though. I am just assuming based on how current S40 phones work.
 
Yeah S40 devices are said to be limited multitasking capability or no true multitasking. Better answer - NO. :)

Yes! Its sort of limited multitasking. I tried few recent S40 phones and they could navigate between music, messages with one app running. It needs hardware dedicated button for music and messages though. I doubt if full touch S40 can do that unless there's some other way to do that.
 
Nokia's director for Smart devices pointing to more focus on Indian market. Many new phones including all Asha series will be manufactured in Indian facility in volumes to cater local and sub continent demand.
 
For now asha 305 is available , quite a good phone in my opinion lots of new tweaks for customizing, easy access and mainly the web.
 
I am really astonished to see such a cool and intuitive UI in a S40 phone.Nokia have really done an amazing job.If Nokia manages to enable carrier billing and convince it's sea of developers to develop for it's Asha Touch UI platform, then it should become hit.Carrier billing is crucial incentive for developers to start delving at Nokia platform again.As, nobody would mind pay 25 Rupees or 40 rupees from their postpaid bill for a good app.Android lacks payment processor integration in Indian market.
 
^ He is referring to operator billing - buying from your phone, and paying for it along with your monthly phone bill
