hello I have a Nokia siemens c2110 modem with me.3 days back it was replaced and i got a new one.now the link light (yellow one has gone dead).i did went to 192.168.1.1 before that and since i was getting some problems i had the system settings to clean. What should i do to get the link backthnx
link light does not depend on settings.it must glow continuously after blinking for some time.it will first blink slowly then rapidsly & then it will be steady.
well the problem is that the green light (pc/usb) is working fine.but the link light is dead it doesnt even glow or blink.you can say its off.i tried resetting the modem but it doesnt help too.i tried taking the link out and adding it directly to the line but still no light /blinki would like to know if the modem link light only glow/blink when there is the telephone line attached to it and its working??

1.Did this new modem work anytime after you got it from BSNL ?
IF NOT
2.Check the connections/cables etc.
3.Connect the modem to power and press the reset button for 30 seconds to restore factory settings.
4.see today's thread for connections . https://broadband.forum/bsnl-broadband/32669-pissed-off-bsnl/ Post No 9
Para two:
If Your modem is Nokia Siemens c 2110 now ( after replacement )
Select settings instructions from from BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU
If connection is made LINK light will glow steady and data LED blink.
i am using Nokia SIEMENS C2110 & my suggestion is always run this modem after connecting it to a UPS as it does not go well with direct connection to electric line.sometimes even minor voltage fluctuations can result in malfunctioned modem.
