If you got it from airtel, it's likely locked.

Actually, i am going to purchase is it from someone. Any possibility we can make sure if it not from Airtel?

You log in to the router management page. Usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 and check for locked settings. There is usually a blurred box and you cannot select that option.

I actually know a guy who used Airtel Nokia ONT on BSNL fibre and the whole OLT setup went down.
