Not opening some websites

hi i tried Download music, movies, games, software! The Pirate Bay - The world's largest BitTorrent tracker. It has same problem

I use avira anti virus. updated everyday

I can access these sites when connected from my PC dialup

/members/harisk/ All ports are open in dialup mode. You can disable the firewall option in the modem , if selected. and try. Do you have a firewall program ? like Zone Alarm Kerio PF etc? Please wait for other suggestions as you seem to have tried all the options suggested by me.

dear essbebe,I very much appreciate your help and support. Yes i have been trying everything in the book to figure out the problem :wall:. I have tried disabling firewall option in the router, no use. same result. I have no FW applications running on my machine. I have checked all services running on my machine. Nothing look suspicious. I will go n see JTO tmr, and tell her the problem. exchnage is near my home. hopefully some technicians will help. or else will ask to replace the modem with WA3002 G4. It seems to have no problems. I will keep the thread updated.One qry to vivek.onyxYou had this problem only after you shifted to new place ?

i also occasionally face this problem. then i open command prompt and run "ipconfig /flushdns" then sites open fine for me...

Hi guys.. forgot to update the thread.. well, i changed my modem to Huawei wa1003A. No probs with this one. i think bsnl gave me a faulty modem ? or maybe some issues with the firmware of the modem. I dont know. even bsnl ppl were surprised to hear this issue from me, as they never had a complaint like this . But anyways they were kind enough to give me another modem.
