Ola Electric Scooter & Bike

With the prices of fuel so high in the recent past a lot of people were looking at alternatives & 'booking' E vehicles even when manufacturing facilities are not fully complete. No one seems to ask the basic questions especially the auto media which has become the main drum beater. A friend had booked an Ather scooter for his son but after repeated postponements, canceled his booking. Then bought a KTM bike.😑
 
To be fair, electric scooters doesn't need the same amount of service as combustion engine ones. Anyone can repair it, if they have access to its proprietary parts. Then you're also paying 1L+ so it's not too much to ask for service centers imo.
 
True, maybe now they hopefully have phone numbers you can call. When my friend had booked nothing of that sort was there. Even on my last visit to some these sites they were very quiet on this front. And I never saw any mention in the media either. So many unanswered questions was one of my main reasons for not taking the plunge.
 
When E vehicles really go mainstream then it will be interesting to see how the existing companies handle their redundant workforce. It might take time but will happen.

Test Conditions (Marketed): 181KM
Ideal Conditions: 135KM
Non-ideal: Dhaka laga lena
 
An ex-colleague is barely getting half of the marketed and claimed range on his electric scooter (not Ola). He drives on expressway uske baad ye haal hai.
