Only audio music channels in DTH

I find that listening to music with the tv switched on with a blank blue screen distracting and irritating. Not an enjoyable experience. If there is no video input, some tvs switch off after sometime. I haven't listened that long to verify this. May be one can connect the audio output from STB to a hi-fi amp and use stb remote to select the channel.Your view please.

yes, you can connect the audio out from the STB to other speakers (which can connect to STB which has the AV pins) and listen to it without need of TV.

I also advise to connect audio from stb direct to your audio hi-fi system instead of TV audio. Because the quality of sound in dth is much better than cable connection and some movie and music channels are much more enjoyable just because of superior sound quality. Try it!
