Hi,
It pings the gateway (123.237.56.1) fine with OpenDNS but ping times out when I ping 220.224.142.229

do you use ip or domain name for logging in while using reliance dns?

Both the IP 220.224.142.229 & domain reliancebroadband.co.in works when I use Reliance DNS but none works when I use OpenDNS.

If it is able to ping the Gateway then it should be able to open http://220.224.142.229 as well. Something about the browser settings doesnt seem to be right, could you please have your network connection automatically obtain the IP and DNS settings from the router instead of manually setting them? Then once you are able to ping the gateway, try to open http://220.224.142.229 and see if it does.

I tried that as well - Windows automatically obtains IP and DNS from router, which is set to use OpenDNS. No luck with that as well.
I've tried all browsers and 3 PCs. Nothing works.

Since its not working then I guess you'll have to do it the tedious way, you need to set the router to automatically acquire DNS server IP's from Reliance, and you can configure all the PC's to use Open DNS. Then try loading http://220.224.142.229 and see it if works.

Thanks a lot rj27. Will definitely try that.
@godric_gt: Thanks buddy. I'll try the app first. Thanks a lot for your time. :)
