OpenDNS Updates

Open DNS is Aus based and Global is in Europe... Going by ping OpenDNS shud be faster... but its the other way round for me... choose whichever performs better

i thought opendns has servers around the world and they are working on getting one in asia. i guess they would eventually have a server in india.

208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220 were in Aus and 4.2.2.1 - 4.2.2.5 was in UK or Germany last I checked about 6 months back... they show in US now... so I believe you may be right.:bowtoyou:

well they have servers in multiple locations. and you are supposed to connect to the nearest location.

OpenDNS > System (also available at http://208.69.38.170/) shows 10 cities but none in australia

Hello,I am experiencing a strange problem. Always 200ms+ ping time from opendns ips. why is that ? also, airtel dns is giving 20-130ms.What could be the problem ?THANKS

opendns would never have given you good pings. they do not have a server in india.

Isn't there a DNS Server hosted in your LAN?
