opendns uses yahoo search and i dont think they are using google ads. they seem to have their own keyword ad engine.abt google competing opendns..there is still long way to go. OpenDNS already serves 20 billion requests a day. it has malware checking too. site blocking too. dynamic IP support too.plus opendns is very stable too, i have never seen opendns go down.so for google to develop all this, it will take time. so loyal users of opendns will still stay with it.
firefox developers had to get out of their 'we are cool' cloud.
tracemonkey was another outcome.
firefox 4 could look very much like chrome if we are to believe the UI prototypes.

dude. google already has Safe Browsing malware detection system. i guess opendns ends up using it as one of their sources.
and i bet opendns featureset would be incorporate in this 'system' if it is not there already.

i dont think FF developers had "we are cool" attitude. they never ignored bugs.only software developers i dont like is pidgin. they dont care for community. just keep coming up with what they think is cool.

chrome was a big slap on the face for hardcore firefox fans who claimed that their web browser was the fastest on the market. now they use the add-ons excuse to stick with firefox admitting chrome is the fastest. they cannot also use the open source 'feature' excuse. extensions would soon be history as well. though not every firefox extension would get a chrome version. i guess i made a mistake. firefox developers are not arrogant. but they were making a mockery of their product. newer versions were terrible compared to the previous ones. a lot of peeps stayed on 2.x because of that reason. they fixed a lot of problems with 3.5 and 3.6.

Google has rarely jumped into something without doing their homework. I bet Google's offering already has all of this, and much more. It is a case of catch up for OpenDNS and not really the other way round.

so these sets of dns are not for me !!!
i changed my mobile number also for this reason. I have no 8 and no 4 in my mobile number !
If you are really serious about this numbers stuff, then you have got your basics wrong. The number 8 or 4 in the total isn't good, not standalone. If you were kidding, I rest my case

FF folks were basking in the glory of eating into IE's market share. They were quite good earlier on, but are now moving fast into oblivion, unless they do something good. They are surviving on the basis of their previous goodwill. I for one have dumped FF for good.
