Dear essbebe brother, so many times I try with 192.168.1.1 but there is no DNS configure option in this modem. If you want, I am ready to give you online my computer by "Team Viewer". I want to see DNS in my modem. I shall be free from 20:00 Hrs today. Please contact.

OpenDNS is not "open" and thus automagically better. They do a lot of link redirection, clickjacking and some censorship unless you register with them. They are also not as fast as they once were, at least from India. Not worth it.

Google's DNS adheres to standards, at worst they might utilize the information collected for targeted advertising. Well, you should already be using adblock plus, so what difference does it make? I haven't seen an ad online in years.

It is good to have choices. Let us keep a watch on openDNS and see if they lose traffic.

You are "out of tune".
Query was :
Are you using a dialer to connect to Internet.
For this you enter USERID PW in COMPUTER screen.
Your reply is "off tangent" .
Happy surfing. ( with or without opendns entries in modem)

I have done this......1. Get HyperTerminal, you can find it from Start>Accessories>Communication (for Windows users)2. A "New Connection" window will open up asking you to enter a name and choose an icon for the connection. You can give any name here and choose any icon. If the window doesn't pop up, then click on File>New Connection.3. In the next window choose the "Connect Using" option as "TCP/IP(Winsock)" [Very Important] and then choose the Host address as 192.168.1.1(the router IP address) and the Port as 23.4.It will take you to the Login menu, enter the login and password as "admin"(when you type the password, it won't show any asterisk or any other character, keep on typing)5. Select option "4" to enter DNS server6. In the DNS menu type "1" to configure DNS.7. Enter 208.67.222.222 as primary and 208.67.220.220 as secondary for opendns.
