Oplus has launched the XonPhone 5
smartphone in India at Rs. 7,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available on
Snapdeal starting Thursday. Oplus India, a subsidiary of Oplus Taiwan, had launched the XonPad 7
tablet in January.
The Oplus XonPhone 5 runs
Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It offers dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) support, with one Micro-SIM one regular-SIM card slot. It features a 5-inch IPS display with HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution, translating to a
pixel density of 320ppi.
A quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor powers the smartphone, clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with 1GB of RAM. The XonPhone 5 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.
It comes with 16GB inbuilt storage, and can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The XonPhone 5 supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, AGPS, EDGE, GPRS and 3G connectivity options. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery with no word on talk time and standby time.
The XonPhone 5 measures 143x71.5x7.8mm and weighs 170 grams. The smartphone is currently listed as available in Gold, Grey and Sliver colours.
