Packet recieving problem Help needed

hey,My connection was working fine with lan wire untill i installed a fresh copy of window xp professional, It sents packets but din't recieve packets If im right can it be happen when i change my machine's name when installing a window.. cuz i think that mtnl should hav saved my machine name and its caused by changing it...Well never mind,NEED HELP suggestions appreciated.BTW im using usb port now but it disconnects in between a download/surfing so its a big prb.

Give modem model/make.
Confirm you have no ethernet card in your computer.
Confirm you have MTNL BB not Sify.
Post ipconfig /all data
Procedure:
Start RUN type cmd Ok
New window
type [COLOR="Red]ipconfig /all
COLOR]
