For the past 1 week, i had a trouble in my Modem UT300R2U. The problem is this, the modem will throw Password authentication error for every time after i switch on the modem, and i need to give the password, then only the Internet bulb glows and connect the internet. :wall:

after giving the password, did u ever tried to save :Phehe.. just save/reboot after entering the information... (advanced setup edit.. enter information.. last step is save/reboot)... check it..if you 've saved , call customer care :D

Yes i saved everytime. Sometimes, Internet bulb will glow off while browsing the net, and again i need to give the password and reboot the modem. :wall:

hey u have mismatched the protocals........u might have done something in the moden like some change of settings mate..... BSNL runs on pppoe where acuth are done by hashing and ISL..........u might have change d them............. restore the setting to the defult........then try once.... how to get the route to factory settings .... 1 pick the router ...power the router.... 2. back use a small hole on the back of every model.... 3.punh it with a pen or anything that can fit hit..... 4.try it for 3-4 times .......while trying u will notice that all the light go -off and come again 5. hhaaa u have restored u r router to factory settings.......... 5.

It is not necessary that you need that small hole back of every router. I have WA300G4 and that doesnt have one...

Open modem page , go to Management, Restore default (Soft restore incase you cant do the hardware reset). I think most routers have this page. Not sure about all
