well... if you look at mathew's point of view. people here are making absurd statements. like he is a one man operation. he is doing everything by himself. he has done nothing yet. none of us know how many people are actively involved in getting hayai operational. we do not know how much money has been invested. we do not know what kind of people are backing the project. we are just making absurd statements based on a website that is clearly substandard and connections that are still not delivered.

we people can make accusations based on no publicly available data, i guess mathew has the right to state that he is only going to reason with people who have actually 'applied' for a connection. in the end he is answerable to actual customers and not generic web population of india. right?

in any case, i am not defending anyone here. i am just saying that both parties have been given total freedom to express their point of views. no content has been removed. no one has been banned. if people can make absurd accusations or claims, mathew should have the reserve to state that since you have not even applied for a connection yet, i am not answerable to you.

i am just saying. people who have applied for connections and have actually paid REAL Money... are you worried about your money? do you think you have been/are being scammed?

ok. i am taking away the moderation rights of mathew from this forum if that makes you guys any happy. i have already stated that i have not seen him using these 'powers' to his own advantage. the only thing he has done is remove obvious spam.

i am actually surprised that most people here and online (the investigative journalists at TT for example) have pretty much spared me until now. no one has not accused me of involved with the 'hayai scam' until now. i wonder how long it would last.

Members are pushing you to remove moderation rights given to mg. It does not launch hayai early. Then after, they will demand to ban him from posting. This is funny demand.

If mg would have given connection and it would start giving trouble from the first day, customers would going to blame mg and then, they would say if you were not ready then, you should not give connection. I think he is taking time to make every thing in proper and trying to make hassle free for customers' benefit. Hayai or any isp will need enough technician for installation, maintenance and also for solving customers' problem if they rise.

I am using connection from local isp which was launched before 2-3 years and in starting, I had taken connection but it was cancelled and I got full refund because a sales executive installed my connection forcefully even though installation guy was not ready because of non feasibility because of long distance. Then, it started giving me trouble. I complained and got full refund. So, management was not very strict on sales team and now, if I see on situation of that company, management does not allow sales man to do anything for their benefits and let company's repo spoil. I experienced this trouble and put bad impression on me. When executive came second time to give me a connection, I was not ready until retention department gave me confirmation that it is possible to install at my location. Now, it's working great. Past 12 months, if I count, I got downtime maximum 5 to 6 times and even during night not in a day.

It could be happen with any new company comes in the market. Then, they will learn from mistakes.
Really it is not easy task for any company. When I went to office of that local ISP which connection I am using first, it was like an assembly and customers were quarreling with retention department head and abusing in front of every body.

Yeah it may possible but when he starts giving connection, it may boost sales orders. Some members are willing to see result first and then they will take.

Not at all. I don't mind criticism so long as it's justified. Amish has stated he won't be taking a connection, so what is he even doing here? Sitting there badmouthing me isn't doing anyone any good whatsoever.

Now if airtel, vodafone etc also start telling us tht not to post on their thread till we use their service than all hell will break lose ..

So try to take criticism also by ur stride and just make sure tht u learn something from them ..

You need to understand how much ppl r feeling let down cos of all these issues cos they have been waiting for it for so long .. They have been shown lots of dream and when they r not fulfilled u r bound to get negative reactions .. No one is making up the stories .. They r just commenting on wht they r fed by u for last 2 years ..

I hope admin removes moderator privileges for MG for this forum cos he clearly is not unbiased as a moderator should be ..

If nobody posted comments against hayai then many members would have paid money in advance. Even if he refund money after some days, he will still get interest from bank. We can't sit idle when some foreigner loot Indian public.

Not true. We do not get interest at all, as with the credit-card facility it is held for some time before we can even touch it. If anyone is generating interest from credit-card payments, it's the payment processor, not us.

Yes, it is possible to pay us. The percentage of people who have paid is actually miniscule (less than 5%)

now how come do u know whether he has taken the service or not? was there a IBF nickname field?

There is no IBF nickname field at the moment, and in part for a good reason: until the dust settles, I don't want to have the ability to map an IBF username to a Hayai username even though in some cases they are the same.

So now to comment we have to take your services. Hence perhaps u should ask admin to not post anything(good or bad) related to Hayai as he is not a paid subscriber....BTW i guess you have also commented a lot on airtel's BB threads i hope u had at least once payed for their BB services.
And if i have not forgotten u had also asked fivenet subscribers to "pay from their pocket" for ad-injection, isn't that a cheapo 'proxy defamation tactic'.

No, you don't have to have taken services. Comment all you like on the plans, pricing, technology etc. Ask questions. However to rubbish the service without having tried it, that I have a problem with. Again, it comes down to the justification.

I've had Airtel BB. I have an Airtel Mobile. I have a Vodafone mobile. I've had an Idea mobile. I've had MTNL, Hathway, Fivenet, Tata Photon+ and others in the past. I deal with the big bandwidth guys in the wholesale department.

As such, I feel I can comment on those threads. Moreover, most of the time I'm trying to be helpful to users, or in the case where I'm commenting on something like pricing, it's only on that: it doesn't matter whose it is, if it doesn't make sense, then it's all about the numbers.

Everything @amish has mentioned is clearly in line with your posts said in the forum. He has every right to draw an inference in any manner whatsoever he likes from the posts in any order whatsoever he thinks correct.

Most of people who have actively participated in the hayai thread have every right to say about it, Whether it is a complete failure of promised standards or topsy turning on said vision.In other words if u have had 2 years back said about ur cablewallah plans i don't think anyone would have been interested in hayai threads.

2 years ago no such plans for even dealing with cablewalas even existed. That is a super-recent development which was forced upon us by those holding the purse strings once we were certain that the license would not be finalized by 26/10.

If i would have joined the forum a few months back i would have definitely made a thread "Hayai is a SCAM", just by looking at the state of ur website which violates all known GOI/TRAI/DoT disclosure norms.
In other words from 26th to 5th u could have easily landed up in court's for the above.:doctor:

IIRC, the original launch was suppose to happen in Jan 1, 2010, but it kept getting delayed again and again. TBF those delays were not serious, since the only damage it did was to crush the hopes of few forum members for a better broadband connection, but this time it seems money has been transferred and thus things have got a lot more serious.

As I've mentioned in another post, it wouldn't really be worth my time to run such a scam for the sake of what money has actually been transferred (maybe $200 or so) or even for that which could be considered as "owing" (maybe a couple lakhs at a guess) - if I wanted even say 4 lakhs, I'd go to the ATM machine, put in one of my cards and withdraw it (in batches of Rs40k).

Where are you people getting this from? When have I said "by Monday 7 November?". I'll be in Pune tomorrow as I have to answer to the financiers.

We are currently almost ready to (finally) visit the customers in Bhandup and surrounding areas. Those people have got status updates by email.

You are not lying. I am not accusing you of it, either. What you are doing is taking words said months or years ago and comparing them to what is being said now, as if nothing has changed in that time.

Tomatoes were Rs16-18/KG ~2 years ago, now they're the better part of Rs30. You just can't take a quote of Rs16 for KG of tomatoes as being valid today but that's what you are doing.

my question is, is he the only one?

he is setting website on his own.
he is setting or trying to figure out google apps with email
he asks ppl to wait till he is back in India.

so everything depends on him. he seems to be doing it all alone.

what will happen when he goes out of India again, after say someone gets connection and there is again some issue? customer cant keep waiting for him to come and solve the problem.

I'll respond to the rest of the messages later, but there are currently 9 staffers - most of them sales people. Our office is in Mahim, but mostly the staff are out getting paperwork done until the end of Feb. The connections team is currently overwhelmed getting things in place. Considering this is an entirely new network, I did warn that some time would be taken to get people connected. Granted, it is going slower than anticipated.

While I did the original website myself, it's now in the hands of a development company. The web server is now in the hands of E2E. I am poking about Google Apps because today I've not got much to do.

That's about it.

Our wholesale bandwidth is ready. Last mile is mostly ready. Customer equipment is not (we had to make changes because the original company didn't deliver). Website will come online only when CPEs have arrived on Indian soil.

The original website was little more than a form asking what people had and what they wanted - all this was 2 years ago so really goes on to the point I've been making about extrapolating information from that period and now, so, I'm not really sure what exactly are you getting at? Now most of my job involves delegating and asking questions and being in meetings and there's also the fact that, I AM Hayai's main man. I'm the one with the dreams and the visions, and it's the job of everyone else to make them come to life. Easier said than done, sure, but the point is that I am the face and most of the life behind the company, and I have a say in the vast majority of the details and things are mostly done according to what I want unless I'm voted against.
