adding a bank a/c won't verify it , he will have to add a cc and pan now to get the a/c verified. a/c is only verified after pp charges the cc for 1 usd to verify and later returns it, you can add the bank a/c later to withdraw funds. if you are in hurry there a lot vcc sellers for paypal go through them vcc will also work but could cost anything from 10 usd to 15 usd.

Hi everyone here! :)

I have received a payment (18 $) from a certain individual. I have signed up on paypal but have issues with verifying my account. During the verification process, it does not accept my canara bank Debit Card. I have only a few days left to claim the payment. Will anyone be kind enough to assist me with this? I'm a paypal newbie and have little to no idea of how to claim the 18 $ that I have received. God bless the forum. Sai Ram!

refund it.
first verify & then ask sender to send again

or try moneybookers

All Indian debit cards have extra layer of security (MasterCard SecureCode and Verified By Visa). You can't use them on PayPal because PayPal does not accepts cards with the additional security layer.

You dont need a credit card to verify your account.A bank account would do but make sure the bank supports paypal. Also You need to fill in your PAN and a Purpose Code. Most Popular banks like SBI,ICICI,Axis etc support paypal.Inorder to buy products or send money online you need a credit card attached to your account.

I don't have account with the banks you mentioned. how about dhanalakshmi, bank of india and canara?

check out paypal website. they should have a list of bank accounts supported.

i'm having trouble with the second step. the issue is i am unable to add dhanalakshmi, canara or bank of india International debit cards to my account, hence i am not able to get verified and receive payment!

How do I become Verified?
To become Verified, you must:
[*]Confirm your email address.
[*]Add a credit or debit card to your account.
[*]Link and confirm your card.
[/list]

as posted before , you cannot verify an Indian a/c with a bank a/c from any bank or any Indian debit card , you will need a cc , after you add it you will be charged 1.25 usd by payapl, next day in your statement you will receive the four digit paypal code, once you add that you are verified . the only Indian debit card that worked was from SBI yuva card or something or HDFC netsafe card .

since you have to withdraw any money from your pp to bank a/c in 7 days according to new RBI rules plus you cannot spend that money online too , refund it or forget about it.
