MTNL Delhi Ping in games changing when resetting router/changing ip address?

Hey guys so I play a lot of League of Legends, an online MOBA. On the Singapore League server mostly (99% of the time) I get constant 125 ping, but very rarely if I reset my router 10-20 times it drops me to constant 85 ping. Same thing with Europe server, mostly I get around 180 ping and very rarely after resetting router it drops to 160 ping. I check the ping by pinging the ip addresses of the server.

So can anyone tell me what is going on? I guess this is related to the ip address of mtnl? Why some ip addresses get me to lower ping in online games and some don't? Is there any way I can make my ping always lower? I know 25-30 ping difference is not that much, but I would love to know the trick to make it always the lowest, or to lock my internet's ip address to the one which always gives me the lowest ping. Also my router auto-reset every 6 hrs.

The chance of me getting the lowest ping manually by resetting router is very random. Sometimes 10 router resets give me the low ping, and sometimes even after 40 resets it doesn't. Also is it bad to reset your router continuously?

I live in New-Delhi with 2 mbps unlimited plan.

Yea its related to some IP range.... From my findings it depends on xxx.xxx.***.xxx 3rd block of IP.....

From observing IP resets over a month..... I have found that I get best ping on 0-15 & 48-65 on the 3rd block of IP..... calling it "Green Zone"

I play League too.... EUW..... Ping is 140-150ms on the above IP block range..... otherwise its above 180ms.....

From what I have observed is that 1st two blocks of IP never changes.... 3rd block rotates serially from 0-127.... at speed of 2 per min.... so I can easily calculate at what time I can get to my "Green Zone"... so I disconnect accordingly.....

So u need to find ur Green Zones........... Your range will be different.... also considering we r in diff cities:D.....

Hey Panzer.
experienced the same as eternal_second did.I play MW2 a lot.Sometimes after resetting my router i get a decent ping of 70-90 but sometimes its horrible 200-400 :( .And whenever a reset my router i get a different ip.Not only the third block in the ip changes but the whole ip changes :(
Please Help.
MTNL Delhi User.
EDIT : I tried resetting my router the third block changed like this 201,104,224,226,99,224
the third block of ip changed after every reset+i don't think it changed serially

did this start happening few days ago??..... If yes..... then it might be due to change in ISP routing to Airtel... Reliance.. TATA... etc...... and will stabilize after sometime...

Nope.I always experienced it :P
Change in isp routing to airtel etc WHAT?
Can i have your facebook/email to get my problems solved quickly?

ok....... IP changes serially only on Ericsson system...... I dont know what systems are in Delhi.....

If your line stats are good..... then its probably a port problem...... shifting to a newer system port will help you.... since it will have less traffic on it.....

To change port....... you need to talk to someone higher up in your exchange......
