hi to all, i am currently using home 500c plan.if i dont exceed usage,my bill comes to around 600-650.now my exams coming so i want to change plan to home 250..but i want to know wat is telephone rental in home 250 and how many free calls will be there?i think that no telephone rental is there in home 500c.so plz. can anyone tell me wat will be approx. bill will come for home 250 if i dont exceed usage ..??anyways i dont make much calls from landline.another thing if i wish to change back to home 500c later on,do i have to pay security deposit again(i paid 500/- in april)?is security deposit also reqd. for unlimited plans??

well, 500 c is a combo plan so you need not pay any rental for the same..Once you migrate to 250 p then you should pay some kind of rent..The minimum is 130 RS i think..Call the customer care and confirm.

250 (bb_rental) + 180 (oneindia_landlinerental)
= 430 + [(430 * 0.1236) (service_tax)]
= 430 + 53.14
= 483.14 + (education_cess)
= ~485
In Rs. ~485, you will get only 1GB data transfer per month + 50 free calls.

500 (bb_rental) + 0 (landline_rental)
= 500 + [(500 * 0.1236) (service_tax)]
= 500 + 61.8
= 561.80 + (education_cess)
= ~563
In Rs. ~563, you will get 1.5 GB data transfer per month + 175 free calls + Night Unlimited.

Difference between two = 563 - 485 = 78

Conclusion: For saving Rs. 78, please don't migrate to Home 250. Home 250 is bullshit. 500C is much better.

Maths sucks

yeah! Combo plans are always beneficial unless you need to have some specific landline plans like One india.BSNL should introduce some Combo option with their 250 Plan..by d way whats the mimimum telephone rent from BSNL??

thats good combi paln...for starters...also as inagural offer they r offering free installation i guess

ya,i called customer care, they said in home 250,min. rental is 120 but u wont get any free calls.so,i am thinking of continuing with same plan..
