Planning to switch from Airtel to Jio or Tata

Now, for more than 2.5 years, I have had a better experience with TPF overall than Airtel. It's more stable and delivers promised speeds. The techs are good and deal with issues within 24 hrs. Have not faced block sites issues. Airtel has far more flexibility in terms of a static IPv4 and its slightly cheaper given the Black plans which is good if you use Airtel for more than just BB.

They are equal in the sense that they couldnt deliver 1G to my place. However with a new pfSense box with 2.5G Intel ports I may be able to opt for it again for 1 month as a trial.

TPF has better customer service than Airtel for sure which has been going down the drain so far as CS is concerned since early '22.

No ISP is perfect, Jio (was supposed to launch in my residential area but has not as yet) doesn't give me a static IP or bridge mode and I've read reports about enthusiastic site blocking + snooping. So I am sticking to Airtel and TPF

Both Airtel and Tata Play have the best penetration and coverage in residential areas across Pune(PMC and PCMC). My experience with Tata Play was hassle free for the span of over 1.5 years, it never went down though there were speed fluctuations in between. I have been on Airtel since last 2 months and it already went down twice due to fibercuts. Resolution time was around 48 hours for the first fibercut but it was immediately fixed during the second. I really can't say anything about Airtel's customer support because i had mixed experiences. For Tata, it is decent i'd say.
I feel Airtel is more stable than Tata in terms of speed. If their connection works, it delivers full speed all the time, if it doesn't, it doesn't. There's nothing in between like speed drops or fluctuations. Latencies are slightly better on Airtel in my experience.
Experience may vary from area to area within the same city. Airtel is working fine for me as of now.

One more thing I need to add and for current or potential subscribers to keep in mind; Airtel offers OTT packages for free with the 300 Mbps plan for a year while Netflix Basic is free as long as you are on that plan. While one gets ZILCH from TPF.

Value wise Airtel is defeinitely better especially when combined with the Black plans for other Airtel services. If I HAD to give up one of these connections BSNL and TPF would go (in that order) while Airtel would be retained. For all Airtel's faults, including billing mistakes, I am a pretty satisfied customer.
