Plex is now a (virtual) reality on Daydream | Plex

Search for the Plex skill on alexa app and link your plex account to alexa. You will be able to use your voice to play your plex library on your TV.

I haven't tried this yet. Hopefully, it should be able to play plex library on your fire tv with voice command.

ah. i did not get into plex because of their subscription based pricing structure

as for skills, i assume, the ones i tried required a specific command phrase to activate it. do update when you get a chance to use it!

Plex is free. They have subscription for some live channels and cloud DVR etc. But to play your local content, it is free.
