@appusI just downloaded again today for record sake. File size is 7.15 MB only.Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0. The version I use now. Please continue in the other thread.

/members/frns4life/ Your PM.
1.If you cannot access the Virtual server page, nothing more can be done.
(similar problem in my modem also for DDNS page )
2.You had earlier reported , I think , that in telnet also you were stuck in "6" NAT.
( confirmed by senior contributer@superprash2003 :PPost 63. also in his modem. there are two types )
3.Stay with DMZ option for the present.
4. Only way out , ask BSNLto replace the modem, if modem on rent.
5. Or try for firmware update, at your own risk. ( see Para two)
6. If modem becomes "dud" Don't blame me.
7. BSNL may give a replacement for a working modem (either for rented or purchased within a year )
Try your luck.

Para two : give the link of Device Status.of your modem.

Problem : IN NAT Virtual server /applications etc not seen in UT300R2U

1. Try the BSNL option first !
2. Seems identical to Beetel220Bx./Sl2_141. Its latest firmware available in IBFWiki should give you the Advanced options menu. ( I have not tried FW update/s/ substitution till date. ).
My advice is like a GP ( consulting doctor) and you need a M.S's ( surgery) advice /guidance !

Para two : Difficult to go through the thread again.
May be repetition !
1If on "Dialer Mode" "Bridged" Change settings in WAN page for Always On. PPP/PPPoE
Open 192.168.1.1/main.html or menu.html ( Advanced options should appear ) submenu Virtual server, etc if missing try
http://192.168.1.1/scvrtsrv.cmd?action=view
If you get "Page not supported" Jana Gana Mana ! ( telnet/hyperterminal also )

.

I have not tried FW update/s/ substitution till date.

It is not a difficult job ! only thing better be on UPS ! if power fails in between, it will be a mess. otherwise nothing happened to me so far ! I had done several times..

started with motherboard to accept higher hard disk (4 gb limit to 32gb) and (40 gb limit to 80) ! If firmware is of our model, then no risk at all !!!!!!

I recently updated my laptop's firmware HP Pavilion too.. Couple of times updated firmware of wireless routers (Linksys n D-Link) !

But .... Make sure all matches your model !! If not, it is a risk !

/members/appus/There was no need. Airtel replaced modem 220BX with latest 220BX1.BSNL Huawei Smart AxMt882 going/working smoothly with old FW.Zyxcel prestige 630 (USB only ) for emergency use.SMC Barracuda WIFI for laptop. 2. Recently Another Airtel user rushed and tried FW update and Modem became "DUD". Luckily for him Airtel replaced the modem. Happy now with DMZ option only !So I cannot recommend FW UPD, without knowing the person's ability to do so correctly. Sometimes the FW file downloaded from the web contains virus/es, which is another risk for beginners.

guys i dint go to through every line from the start.i could just make out that ppl who got old firmware could not portforward cos they had no virtual server option .
i am not able to get the screenshots of that particular modem as promised:(.one of my friends uses that kind of modem ,but he has got no problems portforwarding that one.:yahoo:

i have uploaded configuration file here.what i just suggest is create a backup of your present configuration file.upload the new configuration file.the only thing you have to change is username and password in that config file.rest of the details are here.try them out.tell me if it works.
