Aha! Your pocket is different then mine.

My theme is white colored and its on tile view. Yours is black and list view.

I didnt see much difference in tile view.

even if i switch to tile view... i absolutely hate the menu that is required to do anything with the article. especially archive. when they have so much space available. this is basically magnified in the list view where there is no excerpt. so much space. yet one has to access the menu to access the article options.

i mean what the fuck are they thinking?

My pocket mostly has articles for "Read Later". I take no action before reading the article.

So mostly I open article and right on top I get those menu items.

And then once I read it I delete it by clicking "trash" icon. I hardly archive articles, but archive icon is also right next to delete icon.

So I hardly require that menu "..." button on tile view. But yes its a waste of space.

I don't use the pocket's optimized view because the links are not shareable lol. Instapaper does it properly.

On desktop one usually copies the link for sharing unless there are direct buttons available. Pocket developers certainly don't think so. A simple Twitter search would show that people share direct links frequently that won't work for anyone but them alone 😒

I dont get it what you mean? I click "copy link" (see my image in previous post). And I get direct links copied.

Or do you mean link of browser URL bar when reading article on pocket?

Yes. On desktop one is more likely to copy the link from the address bar rather than using the share option.
