Have a look at this article. Poor picture quality

It seems to be a paid one against all DTH operators. The heading is "Poor Picture Quality" but there is nothing in the article that deals with picture quality. It only talks about installation problems and that too were not faced by most of us using Tata Sky. I had a superb installation experience. Same day installation in Tata Sky and Tata Sky Plus as well. No hassles.

Shame on a group like Business Standard to write such articles which are one sided. :notallowed:

Yeah.........it looks to be one sided indeed.......i too did not face installation problem.......some members here do complain about that but the percentage is small....my relatives and friends are also quite happy as far as installation is concerned. And yes, why the article is with heading about picture quality?

Very false article defaming the names of players in the DTh industry. Inappropriate heading too. All have their personal experience with Tata Sky customer service and my personal experience with the installation process has been good and also I am happy with the after sale service they offer.

Installation was the only good thing about my entire Tata Sky experience. That was the first and last time they did something professionally.

Members here need to understand that he gave minus points to TS because their installation team time was clashing with his time. He was free only after 7.30Pm. So he went to Airtel. How is it one sided? He wrote finally:"Airtel got the nod over Tata Sky, simply because they are flexible with installation timings, and had one channel which wasn?t available on Tata Sky. I finally managed to get DTH service." He is fair I think.

I don't think there is need to take this article seriously. He himself would have not worked after unusual office hours, yet he wants some company to provide service at odd hours :)And finally that missing channel (may be Zee Sports, as he is Sports lover) would have been decision maker.

My point is that first of all, the heading is wrong. And being fair or unfair is judged by the institution that is publishing the article. It would have been fair if the user would have posted that in a public forum like this one, or on his blog or website. But if that is published by a reputed group like Business Standard, then that is unfair on their part. They should verify all the facts first and the "poor picture quality" as they have titled that, cannot be judged based on standalone user experience.

And installation depends on the person that is coming for installation. I am sure that there would be some persons in TS who would be ready to install even after business hours and on the other side, there would be some persons in Airtel who would hesitate the installation by procrastination, even during business hours. How can that be generalised?

The post seems more like a complaint and less like a article. Sites like these should provide valuable information on the products. An individuals experience cannot define everything:notallowed: A business site should have macro dispersed info.

He didn't generalise anything. He is just telling he preferred Airtel over Tatasky. As for as heading is concerned he has aritisically given a name for the heading. You cannot go to the exact meaning. 'Black day' if some one tells it doesn't mean that day looked black. I don't know the exact english word for it so telling like this.

As for SVK, I want to remind him that TS or any dth are for our conveninence and a customer should not be expected to put a holiday for his office just for TS persons to come and install. We are paying for the installation so they have to come at our convenience or else this is how customer will jump to some other dth.

I agree on title, author tried to use more artistic title for his article, but he seems to fail to connect article with title, he should have tried something else :)

It depends upon company policy. Some companies are rigid about their timings and won't work after 'office-hours' or 'working-hours', while some companies may work. If Airtel does, & TATASKY doesn't, then definately Airtel is more customer friendly.
