Doesn't matter how you place your router antennas you will still get the same speed and range.
That is not correct.
Antennas give the maximum range perpendicular to where they are pointing. So, they should be pointed upwards to get the maximum range.
@bobby_kes Yes i am getting upto 90 mbps on 2.4ghz , while I am getting 97 mbps on 5ghz. But considering the earlier 30 mbps speeds changing the channel Id on 2.4ghz seems to do the trick

Also how should I keep my wifi anteenas. Should I keep it upwards painting to above, should I move them so that it should point to the rooms nearby ,the problem is while placing like the 2nd way the router is surrounded by walls on all four sides
So I am little confused about the postion of antennas, my priorities are increasing range on both bands atleast on 2.4ghz preferably to the ground floor . Any thoughts in this matter would
be helpful to me
Upwards, towards the ceiling.
