Porting from Idea to Airtel

With three connections, ask them for a corporate plan! Quick! [emoji14]

Calls on Airtel still run on 2G/3G, fwiw. I was alluding to the basement trouble you had in the pre Idea days, on Airtel.

Now, I'm not sure if the plans are exactly the same as they offer to corporates, but they are much better than myPlan. Plus, you get free cug calls across your numbers.

A friend of mine got a good plan from Vodafone for his three connections. Another guy moved his entire family (10 lines) to airtel and they gave him a really good corp plan. I can't happen to remember who it was, will post details if I do.

But, definitely do ask the store for something on the lines of CUG/corp plans.

Right. Would airtel on my next visit. Though I guess they would have no incentive considering two connections have already moved on to Airtel?

Use that third postpaid connection and your wish to convert prepaid to postpaid as a bargaining chip :D

Right. First it is important to test the network. My mom has to actually stand besides the door at the front of the house to make calls from her Vodafone number. But then it has helped in getting both mom and dad to use the Airtel landline which is completely free. They make calls worth around Rs. 700-800 per month on my Rs. 1199 connection. Has worked well.

hehe. it's still ok. i would have two fewer phones to track wrt billing and other kind of charges.
i decided to port mom's phone today after noticing a vodafone message about how her data plan was expired.
my mom's phone is not supposed to have any data plan!

Right now. In basement. Network was shuffling between H and 3G. LTE does not seem to appear at all in the basement.
