My first phone in 2003 was the Motorola T190 which I used till 2007 when it was flicked off my pocket in a bus.

The I got a Sony Ericsson K790i which I still have, but now it suffers from an incurable joystick issue. Apart from that, everything's working fine. I'm still using this as a back-up phone.

And to take up the prime spot, I got a Sony Xperia P last week, my third phone.

During the changeovers, I've used my wife's Motorola L6 in 2007 for a few days and my Mom's N72 for a month or so now.

My First Phone was Nokia 6131 which I bought in 2007 for 12k

Next was Nokia C6 for 12k and Samsung Galxy Pro at 10k which I purchased in 2011

And now I am Using Samsung Galxy S2, and I Must say this is the best phone I have ever used, got it for 26k Yesterday.:D

@androidfreak; how is the moto defy ( mb 525) , is it really dust and water proof. I am thinking to get one for my dad, he has a bad habit of dropping things in water when he is at our orchard. I am sick of his grumbling that phones are not water proof and he won't use any protective covering.pls update me within your comments, and over all impression. Thanks ron

Have seen SE being the innovator move to mere "another phone manufacturer" in this span of time. Except for the recent push of NFC , for a long time , they have been dormant . K750 was one of last best phone SE has ever produced imo. It was rock solid and fast. It had the best of both worlds , camera and music player.

sorry for posting more than just the "post your first phone".. hope you guys dont mind.

time to depart from SE..

Mine too IIRC in 2002 I suppose. In those days, even incoming calls used to be charged a lot. So, received a wrong number was like a choona of Rs.10 or more at times. I had to check the phone number before receiving the calls in case it was unknown number to make sure it was not a choona. LOL

And honestly speaking, I have never found any phone (I must have changed a dozen or so in all these years) that has battery backup or durability of the 3310. It used to fall down from 2-3 floors above the building the ground yet it would not break. Similarly, there has been occasions when the phone was smashed etc. but it still worked. Really the chuck norris of mobile phones.

@naveen, I had both Sony t610 and Nokia 6600 and Lol at both phones being rivals...... 6600 was a smartphone, 610 was not. 6600 had video recording 610 didn't, 610 had 2mb internal memory, 6600 had card slot. :D 6600 ran hundreds of symbian apps. 610 ran only java shit. Only thing t610 was way ahead of 6600 was good looks and amazing clear ring tones speaker.

Rival in the sense of competition , not tech wise though. Many didnt like the bulkiness of 6600. t610 had IR , bluetooth at that time , which many didnt , except for 6600 and another phone. 610 was the flagship phone of SE at that time. 6600 had many takers mainly of being able to load contents (*cough*) . Nokia was the leader at that time. 610 was only alternative with good features at that time. Still T610 would be my first choice even today if i hadto choose between those two. funny days ...
