A niece needs it. I have decided on these two listings:

About the printer... It is going to be used to take colored printouts of illustrations and other creative mumbo jumbo. She is into textile designing I think.
Portable hard disk is just to take backups.

Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1TB Portable External Hard Drive
HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2645 All-in-One Printer

I have selected the Amazon listing coz the price on it for some strange reason is pretty low compared to other stores.
I have selected the Flipkart listing coz it is a deal of the day. I am tempted to suggest a wireless model but it costs a bit more and the printer is likely to be used in a house where let's say... most people end up using a dongle because the actual wired connection rarely works.

Any suggestions?

more chances of losing the data. dropping the disks. and things like that. plus the data is scattered around. hard to keep track of individual files and stuff like that.

i have suggested Netgear RN104 :D do not want to be part of the process because it goes beyond my technical expertise. :D

I do not think using a single 8TB HDD is a solution here. You need to have a RAID setup so that there is data redundancy. It would be a shame to lose important data after spending 50K on data storage :)
