Hi guys,I have a BSNL Dataone NIB-2 connection and was running it on a UT300R2U modem by LAN. Recently i was able to stay in delhi and used wireless connection there. Now i am back and have the wireless Router provided by MTNL DNA-A212. I tried connecting it with the BSNL network but it wont work. The DSL, POWER and WLAN lights are all solid green but its INET light dosnt turn up. I dont have much expertise in it but I hope u guys can tell me how i can go about doing it. Thnks.

PLease see "sticky" post WA3002-g4 quick reference here .
same as Dna model. select Chennai link for screen shot settings etc.
MP web site also useful.

Most important VPI VCI 0 and 35 for BSNL. ( for MTNL 0 and 32 )
As it is, if you use a "Dialer" and enter BSNL userid/PW in computer window
you may get connected in LAN mode. Try.

I Tried the sticky link and as i know i have to fill in 192.168.1.1 for router setting page. as i did that there was "no webpage found" display. I then tried it with connecting in LAN mode still coudnt do it. Pls help

essbebe, thnks. I got the problem sorted out. I got to the router admin page by using mozilla. Last time it didnt work coz i use chrome and it somehow didnt respond as it should have. Now i did everything written and the wireless started connecting to internet and my comp also responded saying "you are connected to internet". but when i try to open some page in the browser (any..used all safari, chrome, mozilla, ie) there is a message saying server not connected. Cant figure out whats wrong, since even my network and sharing control panel bar shows that i am connected wirelessly to net. BTW i am using the same wireless network connection as i used in delhi so my WPA-2 settings have not been changed..do i need to?

Hope you used VPI /VCI 0 and 35 for BSNL.
Usually we check LAN connection is working.
try again.

Then wifi.
START NETWORK WLAN
check STATUS REPAIR.
Check WLAN card is enabled.

In Modem select Menu Item Diagnostics
report failed components.

LAN is working fine when i Connect it through the BSNL modem.
But when i do the same through MTNL modem ..............................

Compare wan lan dns settings in both.
Try Dialer Mode "Bridged" In Ut300r2U.

Each unit can connect to Internet "stand alone " mode.

UT300R2U MTNL modem Use VPI/VCI 0 and 35 etc. ( NO wifi)

and DNA A212-I ( BSNL Modem ) Ok in LAN and WIFI wifi mode.

2.
( UT300R2U ( if old model ) confirm.
The little I know about Dataone Broadband Services offered by BSNL

Link available . in MTNL Delhi or Mumbai also.
