problem due to portforwarding

hey, i am using UTStarcom 300r2u modem with old firmware. I found some instructions over the web and tried to do the same. Now i cant connect to the internet. In diagnostics it shows 2 tests failed i.e cannot authenticate ISP and IP adress. can somebody help me rectify this problem?????

UT-300R2U ADSL MODEM MENU

1.Use/ select vpi/vci 0 and 35
2elect PPPoE enter your userID without @ bsnl.in give Password
3.Save and reboot.
4.If you select "Bridged" skip 2 .
5. Use dialer to connect.
6. Post ipconfig/all
START RUN type cmd type ipconfig/all
7. Check your Modem device status and confirm.
