I stay in Bangalore and Have a strange problem.Port 80 is getting blocked on the modem and the Internet does not work for atleast 3-4 hours, below are my observations.1. Ping to any public ip works.2. Ping to Yahoo.com, google.com works and DNS also resolves the names to IP3. During the Port 80 Block period will be able to connect to my corporate network on a Cisco VPN and Browse. The airtel guys asked me to run a AntiVirus on the system and there were no virus instances found.Changed the Modem from Beetel 110x to Huawai. Problem still persists. Is there a way I can check the Port 80 Block on the Modem and unblock it.The airtel guys are saying they have multiple reports of this instance and all have been reported only with Corporate Systems and none through systems used only @ home.Is anyone of u facing this problem....Please helpThanks

Is there a way I can check the Port 80 Block on the Modem and unblock it.

Open Port Check Tool
(Success: I can see your service on 122.164.xx.xx . on port (80)
Your ISP is not blocking port 80

Use one Modem ( beetel 220BX)and one computer,
and check up whether Internet is working normally and port 80 is open.

Ensure in Access control page. all are selected.
HTTP telnet FTP etc. etc
Then connect your VPN network. ( give diagram of full setup)
You can disable Windows firewall and any other FW temporarily.

Worst case scenerio you have to use Port forwarding for Port 80.
Port 80 is getting blocked on the modem
unlikely. If you use dialup mode all ports are open.

There is a new spam i dont know its name, will attack the software of the Airtel modems, however the old models of airtel modems has no probs, the beetel 110BX1 ADSL2+MODEM have the problem, so ask the technicians of airtel to install 220BX ADSL2+MODEM, this will clear your probs
