I have problems with setting up bridged mode with my ut300rtu modem. When I edit the pppoe_0_35_1 connection to bridge, the link seems fine, but when I dial I always get errors like 691... or it just stays stuck at "Connecting to WAN miniport" or "Verifying username and password".anybody got any comments?

no, that's not my modem page... my modem is the one provided by BSNL with the stripped down f/w. How do I configure that?also is there a way I can change the f/w of the modem?

also is there a way I can change the f/w of the modem
What is the reason.? F/W update with equivalent version will be at your Own risk.
same like Beetel 220BX.
Open 192.168.1.1/main.html.
Under Advanced select virtual server etc.
http://i4.tinypic.com/5y2f8ds.jpg
go to www. portforward.com and select either ut300r2u or beetel 220Bx for port forwarding instructions.

I do not have Virtual Server option under NAT, my modem has a stripped down firmware.and what can I do about the problem with my bridging?

I do not have Virtual Server option under NAT
Not even Port triggering ?
Open WAN page and select "Bridged" option .
In computer TRY existing WAN miniport connection.
or make a fresh connection and try.

Para two :(A) Connect in "always on Mode "
start run type cmd type IPconfig/all . Note the details.
(B) Changed to dialup mode.
repeat. Does the entries tally ?
