Purchasing addon package in sun direct dth

I need to purchase an addon package in sun direct.I have logged into my account and I could see the list of addon packages.Also there is an option to select the cycle.I want the addon for 1 month only.So I have to select 1 cycle right.But somewhere else in their website they have mentioned that we have to call customer care and cancel the addon package if we wish to stop using it or else addon will be renewed everytime.Can anyone confirm which is correct?.After activating the addon how long it will take the channel to appear in my dth?.
