lol. i mean this is probably his first video i have watched. he speaks so fast. does he also do videos in hindi and other languages?

live bokeh in video looks shit. i guess i am not going to like the camera much. otherwise... good to know that mst is there.

He does make videos in hindi too.
After going through this thread i came to know about MST and i think its really nice feature to have.

yup. they patented the technology so no one else could offer it. it enabled them to support card machines before nfc became popular. and even today mst should enable you to make >2000 rupee payments. nfc has 2000 rupee limitation.

man the phone looks huge
I think s9+ would have suited you better.
28k in last sale. Much better camera. Reasonable size. Only downside is this yr is last major os upgrade to be pushed. Security updates after that. But still way better camera than any of sub 30k chinese phones.

samsung updates are usally stable AFAIK and do bring in couple of good changes and have been reducing bloatwares recently . But they do tend to take lot of time for updating thtats the only caveat,

considered buying the previous generation s/note series. but i didn't want curved display. this is also why i was originally considering getting the s10e. but decided against buying it when s10 lite was announced!

s10e cost 7K more (10K if we count the icici discount). has waterproofing. has wireless charging. is practically the same size as pixel 2 but with larger display. but lacks Snapdragon processor. s10 lite just made a lot more sense compared to it.

and looks like s9+ also does not have a snapdragon. not that it matters to someone like me. as long as i can make phone calls over vowifi.

here are some experiences with samsung pay powered payments at local stores here in my locality.

newer nfc capable machines. experience is fantastic.
older machines with mst? whoa. it's kind of complicated. place the phone near the swiping area. enter last four digits of digital card. enter your pin.
and then there was this one machine at jio store. it did not ask for last four digits of card. but did ask for pin.

overall a pretty fun experience. not many shops in my locality has experience with samsung pay users which is baffling considering how old this platform is. this is similar to how nfc based payment was few years ago. i alone must have showcased nfc payments to half of the shops in my local market who had compatible machines lol.

question. do i need to keep nfc on to make payments on samsung pay? or the app automatically turns on nfc for payment? i think i keep nfc off but i always find it on so i can only assume that samsung pay turns it on whenever i make a payment using it?

I keep my NFC turned off and make payments. The payments go through successfully. I assume NFC turns on for those few seconds. Although, I didn't try to observe if it turns on for the payment to go through and turns off immediately. Happy with Samsung Pay and true I introduced it to a few shopkeepers and also few people standing in the line behind me.
