Hi everyone,This is my first post here, so please be gentle.
I have been using MTNL Triband's 549 NU plan with a DSL-502T modem in the PPPoE mode since Feb 2006 without any major problems. However, since the last month, I have been witnessing frequent disconnections including the ADSL light going off sometimes at night. Especially since the 1st of April, when I guess the MTNL guys had a major f***up, this problem got worse. I couldn't open MSN Messenger and the router page did not work except for 1-2 minutes after rebooting the modem. So after reading some of the posts on this forum, I decided to try switching to the Bridge mode a couple of days ago, and everything seems to be working smoothly as before... maybe slightly better! My question is that is disconnecting and re-connecting with the PPP dialer in Bridge mode the same as physically rebooting the modem in PPPoE mode? Unfortunately I cannot check whether my MBs were counted or not last night because the MTNL page is down. Please let me know, or else I'll be losing valuable MBs during the free night time. RegardsSu
