Questions for Dish TV HD + user

My friend is a Dish TV HD+ user and he takes his stb to the middle east. Now I searched that whenever a software update comes, he'll have to come back to India to connect to the particular satellite that actually pushes out software updates. This true? Also can any Dish TV HD + user send me a screenshot or tell me their software version on the stb which is the latest?

yes , the software updates of dishtv come from NSS6 Sat and in ME , users can get only Asiasat Signal so not possible and i will ask you to update and fail so you can send some shops in ME and get it done by their huge dishes and you can edit home tp

I have the stb with me in Delhi, but it'll be sent back tomo, so I want to know if I have the latest software version. Can anyone tell me theirs?
