Hi Guys,

I am really confused with the 1800 Home Broadband plan from BSNL. I mean they say that I crossed 14GB worth of downloads in the month of July which is not possible as no movies were downloaded & not even other stuff. I do have another connection with Sify which I use and the BSNL connection is used by when there is a power trip or when Sify goes down.

So my question is Does BSNL Broadband 1800 plan has free night usage for downloads ? should I un-plug my modem when it is not in use & the last one is since BSNL is showing extra 4GB worth of downloads do i need to pay 2800 Rs more in the bill ?

Please help.

Home 1800 has night unlimited. To get night unlimited, you need to switch on and off the modem a little after 2.00 am and a little before 8.00 am. The whole point is that the start and end time should be within 2 - 8 slot. Otherwise you will be billed for night unlimited also. You need not awake to do all these process. There is a software which can do this for you.

If you can connect to internet by simply switching On your modem, and you leave it plugged, you will be chanrged.

There is some discount for excess billing of 15 % if your extra usage is more than 1 GB.
