RCom's Big TV CEO quits

Reliance Communications'' (RCom) DTH subsidiary, Big TV has reportedly confirmed that its CEO, Arun Kapoor has quit the company just four months after joining the organization and couple of months since the launch of the services.

The move comes as a surprise since Big TV had announced massive expansion plans as well as subscriber targets. Kapoor had joined the company from Dish TV.

Big TV's entry was considered to usher in more competition in India's DTH services market. The country has recently witnessed service providers getting aggressive on their sales push with major players comprising of Dish TV, Tata Sky, Big TV and Airtel's Digital TV. Sun Network has also expanded its services.

Kapoor's departure comes at a wrong time for Big TV which will now have to again focus on attracting talent to lead the company while its competitors continue registering new subscribers.

The precise reason for Kapoor's departure remains undisclosed.

What does it has to do with past when he doesnt do anything in present?He took DISH TV to its destination but he didnt make any major changes in BIG TV since he joined.Reliance should hire an overseas Technical and Management team to take a charge of BIG TV (and all his BIG brands) for 1-2 years and we will see a BIG difference. (I could see overseas employees working at Reliance Mart by Mukesh Ambani)Anil is still a kid and has to learn all these lessons from his brother. He is just wasting his dad's wealth.BIG FM, BIG Cinema, BIG Flix, RNRL, Rel Money, BIG Street, BIG TV, Zappak, BIG Adda - all these are his BIG (mis)ventures and BIG mess.He will still not understand and learn from his mistakes then 1 fine day he will be a BIG bankrupt and will also make his investors the same!

He cant able to make big change in Big tv because he stayed with Big tv just for 8-10 months.In case of Dish tv he stayed with them 4.5 years.Anil should have given time to him.

LOL - Funny Statement.For a seasoned actor like Amitabh Bachchan, doesnt need to take 50 retakes. For a seasoned player like Sachin Tendulkar doesnt need to take 5 overs to get settled on a pitch.And so as for a seasoned (experienced) CEO doesnt need months of time to make minor/major changes. Revolution can take place in just an hour.He only needs to finalize a deal with Viacom18 for Colors and other channels. ETC, B4U are all FTA channels he could have ordered tech team to add them since a next day he joined but our seasoned CEOs are full of greedyness and laziness. After becoming a CEO in a company like reliance they like to celebrate this with their family, they would go on a long vacation, they would come back and reach office late and waste time for the things they really dont need to look on.If in INDIA , everyone would understand their responsibilies then we would achieve our goal sooner than we have targetted for.During 24 hours of a day, we have only 8-9 hours to spend on job (and even that job which gives money), people usually like to listen music, do gossping, do go around and talk more to the office girls colleagues and waste almost 3-4 hours for all these rather working for full 8-9 hours.CEOs and top management people are No.1 in all these. No work and full time wasters.It would be good if this person has been sacked soon but not so late. I hope someone else come in his place and do some quick upgradation and updation.
