RCS Spam has arrived in India

Started using Samsung Messages since yesterday and also activated RCS on my primary number on it.

And today this happened.

And apparently this is being pushed via RCS.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yup me too on Poco X3 with Google messages. I have noted those nos as spam, observing if such msgs are coming or not. Didn't get such msgs since yesterday.
Think this has more to do with Google rcs than with Samsung or any other brand.

Yup. This is RCS Spam. And you can't even report these via TRAI DND app since it is not an SMS.

It suits perfectly well for Google given they are an ad-based company. But seriously, I was getting those messages everyday. Once a week was understandable. Deleting those msgs everyday was a pain...

not sure about samsung messages... google messages rcs is powered by their own servers. samsung might be using airtel's rcs servers. which might be leaking out to advertisers.
