hmm....I agree with netfreakBut as for the Market Demand point, that's surely going up only and would, most probably, double in the next 5 years.2010!! Well, the government has already enough problems with the CommonWealth Games coming up and the Cricket World Cup in 2011, I don't think it's practical to expect a significant change in the government pressure on ISP's for improvement in Broadband services for the next 4 years at least. Not that I'm trying to say that even though the telecom ministry has no relation whatsoever with the Common Wealth games, they'll be busy with doing "nothing". But, in India, well.....all I can say is that if you find an environmental minister complaining against the pressure on him due to inflation, don't take it as a joke!

LOL!!! Well I agree with what u say to some extent ************. Of course the Govt. ought to do something to retail customers of broadband services because this year is marked as the "Year of Broadband!". Well I guess the new telecom minister would be busy counting sandal trees in the jungle of which he was a previous resident... :P (I meant tht he wuz the minister of forestry dept.) Well I had hopes that some ISP would dare provide atleast 512kbps unlimited for Rs.700 - 999. But I don't see the retail broadband sector growing unless a teenager becomes the Minister for Telecom!... :(

teenager as a telecom minister? :Scant even think of what will happen!8 mbps unlimited packages for free, all calls from any mobile to any other phone totally free! :yahoo:and some more stuff like that. :p
