Glympse

this app is pretty awesome. functionality is like latitude but still very useful.

i actually used this to send my location detail to mgcarley when i started driving from my place to where he was.

he was able to see where i was in real time and it became very easy for him to find me.

here is the glympse i sent him...

Glympse - Share Your Where

ICICI has cool app called iMobile .. you can know you balance and last five transaction instantly ...

they have M-Shop into it .. which was helpful for me to refill my vodafone prepaid ...

iMobile - ICICI Bank Ltd.

Beware of that app. Early adopters of that app reported that it used to send SMS to premium numbers to get the information, rather than using the GPRS or any other internet connection point

apps to take screenshot ???

I have used iMobile when I had an ICICI account. Never faced such issue.

I suppose Android 2.2 can take screenshots natively. For me, I have to press and hold the 'Back' and then press the 'Home' button. It worked with the stock ROM as well as on a custom ROM called Kyrillos 4.1. The screenshots are saved on /sdcard/ScreenCapture.

I have been using Imobile for last 4 years on different phones ...
The application post installations gives user the choice between SMS or GPRS

The case you are referring must be where the user opted for SMS mode communication and thus got charges ! :|

apps to take screenshot ???

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bw.picme.local - shoot me is the name of the app

1) Start the application and send it to background
2) shake the phone to take the screenshot of whatever is present on the sceen

IMPORTANT: You need to give the application root permissions for saving the screenshot on the sd card

Back button + Home Button works ...but for the default screen.
You cannot use this method to take the screenshot of any application
(because as soon as you press back ...application will end :) )

It really sucks that Android doesn't have a single decent screenshot app which works without rooting the phone. I wonder what their motive behind this was.
