Reg BSNL Broadband tariff

Hey guys,I have a Airtel and BSNL connection (chennai) . However i am currently using just Airtel Broadband connection . My BSNL land line is sitting idle with no calls being made what so ever , however cant disconnect it permanently.My airtel plan is a limited plan so thought use BSNL service too ..I need to know a couple of information:1) What is the minimum fixed charges u have to pay for a BSNL land line ?2) Is there any option of paying just the rental for a new broad band connection ? (Like Airtel which does not charge a fixed sum for land line)3) What is the best possible tariff or combo for BSNL broad band & land line.Cheers !!!!

Since you do not need landline for calls, it is better that you choose Unlimited 750 + or Unlimited 1350 +. They are 256 kbps and 512 kbps unlimited plans. Apart from rent 750 or 1350, you need not pay anything for the landline.

Here is information for u:

--> Rs.120/- Sulabh Package (No free calls)

2) Is there any option of paying just the rental for a new broad band connection ? (Like Airtel which does not charge a fixed sum for land line)
--> No such option, but you can change your plan to Rs.125/- (200MB)

3) What is the best possible tariff or combo for BSNL broad band & land line.
--> Combo plan starts from Rs.500 only.

Thanks a lot for the replies !Airtel provides a limit of 1gb during day time, which i always end up crossing by at least 300 or 400 mb ..So thinking of adding a broadband plan so that there wont be a need to sacrifice .Any idea what is the registration/installation charges for BSNL Broad Band?? (I have a extra beetle 220bx router)Cheers !

No registration charges and if you are ready to install broadband (which is dam simple ) then no installation charges. In case you require their help for installation charges are Rs.250 which appears in your next months bill.

Please check the second link I gave. It has details of initial charges. You may be charged one month rent as advance.
