Reliance is a cheap serivice provider. Cheap not in Money but in service...Dont go for reliance service. its just a big shit. their customer service is poor. Net downtime is more than uptime. and speed is also slow. Reliance broadband is very slow. Go for BSNL or airtel or Hathway. Reliance a complete no... In September 2007, reliance broadnet was out of service for 5 days and customer care told that some upgradation is going on in reliance. I ask them, whhat kind of upgradation is this, No internet for 5 days. Its not upgradation, they are fooling customers. Actually their servers were out of order, needed work to get them back. Reliance is a thief. they are stealing ur money, and not giving any service. It should be named NARROWNET instead of BROADNET.

i understand the frustration but title is funny.

Reliance and tata indicom goes hand in hand from shit cdma phone to offline fraudband.

Reliance WiMax works superbly the first 10 days. when u manage to connect to their server, you get good download speed. i had opted for 300 kbps unlimited download. Problems starts after 10 days or so. I was unable to get an ip address. i was told to do the following afetr following up with their customer care based in mumbai numerous times (plz note they do not have local number for wimax. u need to call mumbai landline :) ) , a technical expert told me a solution1. in a command promt : netsh int ip reset restlog.txt2. the connection shows up as connected after 1-2 seconds3. type : ipconfig/renew4. shows: limited or no connectivity5. switch off power and then switch on power after 5 seconds (to the POE). the system again shows limited or no connectivity6. Remove network cable from POE to the computer and reconnect the cable. immediately the connection is enabled. all went fine for another 10 days. use "remember password" in the browser to login. after the routine excercise as above, one day i saw the speed was 2000 kbps and it was some other login id. i logged off and relogged in this time i typed out my id and password. it worked for 2 days and is dead from thenmy connection is not working since last 15 days. i am disconnecting the connection. they take a hell lot of days to set right a problem. my advice: DONT GO FOR the reliance connection. [They had the courtesy to waive charges for non-working days, but then what is the point in having a non-working connection ??] Reliance needs to stabilize their system before releasing any service]
