Let's talk about JioFiber since that's the concern here.

I called JioFiber Support. They have confirmed me that this 1/10th Upload Speed is official from JioFiber Authority (which he said is higher authority team).

He was understanding but kind of bound to say anything but he told me if you all want to make it normal.

Mail at [email protected] with the opinion and feedback to make it possible for them to move back to normal speeds for Upload (he told me this himself and not like automated or default answer).

I did ask him if other people are calling you for the same concern. He first said yes and then he said no no (kind of like company is enforcing too much).

If you all could mail at the above mentioned email ID with your registered email ID with the details of your connection?

This might make some difference.

I mean even if you want to threaten them of disconnection, threaten them on this email instead of customer care of Twitter.

He specifically told me that this email is handled by the core team of Jio Fiber (higher authority compared to Twitter and Phone Support).

For anyone who is okay with 10Mbps? FTTH means 1:1.

You paid 2500 for the installation which is highest possible price.

You are paying around Rs. 1,000 which is now standard for FTTH with 1:1 (You get 100-200 GB only where other companies give higher FUP, some of them give Unlimited FUP too)

So you shouldn't be okay with Jio doing 1/10 for the upload speed even if you don't need it. You are paying for it.

Quite Possible, JioFiber team is looking if people are going to reject JioFiber if they do it Upload Speed Changes?

If you sit quite, they will never change it. But if you kind of mail them and ask them to revert back to normal. They might consider it.

Why they would provide email ID on the call for this concern if they are deaf on this?

They are looking for the opinion of the customers on this change. Mail them!

100Mbps is really good for your Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, Many Other Backups, Video Uploading etc.

Sticking to PC for 1 minute to upload is much better than sticking to PC for 30 minutes of upload pending time.

@Lobogris - Thanks for that insight but why is Airtel marketing it as fiber connection (Airtel Xstream Fiber) on their site. Also is V-fiber diff from Xstream fiber or just marketing shenanigans ?
It is just marketing. However Airtel is able to provide 100Mbps on this Vfiber which is similar to most fiber connections so it is somewhat true. Airtel does have true fiber in many places as well.

Awesome. I think emailing them multiple times within a month would make some difference with threatening them for disconnection.

Even though there is no TRAI rule about it.

1/10 on FTTH is kind of cheating only. You are paying for Fiber Connection but what you are getting is worst than ADSL (Download:Upload) Ratio.

Airtel gives 40Mbps Download and 8Mbps Upload.
To counter this, Jio is giving 100Mbps Download and 10Mbps Upload (which is pretty poor)

It doesn't matter how cheap a product is, you should be getting what was promised and said before.

A smart guy from Jio Sales Team 1 week back told me upgrade your plan you will get 250 Mbps Up and Download. That Smart Guy yesterday told me, it will be 1/10th now.

Luckily, I didn't upgrade.

I am not sad with the plans since it's the money they are asking and it's the customer's wish to pay or not.

But, 1/10 is not what customer should be acceptable to and company enforcing it. (It's total bullshit)

GMail has auto-schedule emails now. So if you can't remember, just schedule the emails.

250Mbps Download and 25Mbps Upload. Does it look acceptable to you or pure puke ratio? (Gold Plan)
