I have booked an appointment for STB installation tomorrow via the app, but i only want to opt for Rs. 199 plan. There is still some confusion regarding the Rs. 199 whether it can be used as a first recharge plan or not.

@bigman91 my appointment was serviced in a timely manner and I got the STB installed the very next day. I was just trying to point out that their system fails to detect that i have already been migrated.

Take the Bronze plan for the first month. Getting STB for Rs.825 is not a bad deal. Then from next month (or if you exhaust your bronze data plan), keep doing 199 recharge. I think that will work.

@Shubham - I suggest u read some of the earlier comments from last sat, u might get some clarity on the 199 fiasco.

There is no voucher tab at the bottom. In the left side menu, there is an option called 'My Vouchers'. Check in that.

Superb ! What a tip. I kept looking for them at the bottom like we have for the jio mobile.

Didn't you try for Rs. 199 plan?

Will do from next recharge. I wanted the STB and have a feeler to try all their services for the first month. Will move back to either Silver or 199 from the next recharge

@yougotmehere feeler? lol there is nothing to feel in STB/OTT. it is completely locked and no freedom just like present india

jio cc told promtly that they halted the duel band router
but I am not shore

i dont think cc has any knowledge on it.... the device choice is very random. many have received different STB / router. few in my city chennai have received single band router/ tunerless STB. i have received dualband/STB with tuner. so it is just the luck...

Guys.i would be opting for gold plan for a month.i have a query to ask.if I connect my tv via lan cable to the router then how much speed can I expect .Good plan says speed upto 250 Mbps.is it good to connect via lan cable ?

it greatly depends on your router and placement. if you have dual band router quite near the STB without any wall then use 5ghz connection. you will get around 200-240mbps. if you can cable it neatly then go for ethernet.
